I wholeheartedly recommend Dave’s services to anyone looking for an excellent plasterer. Dave prepared and skimmed our artex ceilings and plastered several walls for us over the course of more than a week, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

He is an exceptional plasterer: punctual, thorough and incredibly attentive to detail. He always arrived on time and, on the rare occasion he was going to be even 10 minutes late, he let us know in advance. He took real pride in his work, made sure everything was finished beautifully, and explained what he was doing along the way. We were especially impressed by how tidy he was. He cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day, which made such a difference and meant we didn’t have to live surrounded by construction mess.

Dave was also extremely accommodating and managed to squeeze us in for a few additional days of work, despite the extra work being needed due to a miscommunication on my part. He was very understanding and flexible about it.

And, importantly, he is genuinely lovely, friendly, kind and a pleasure to have working in our home.

We absolutely cannot fault the quality of his work. Everything turned out perfectly, and we’re so glad we chose him. He is worth every penny, and we would happily use his services again and recommend him to anyone.

I can’t recommend Dave highly enough. We had quite a substantial job done in our living room, which involved hacking off the old plaster back to the brickwork up to around 1.2m around the entire room, damp-proofing and rendering, followed by fully replastering the walls and ceiling.

From start to finish, Dave was extremely knowledgeable, professional and reliable. He arrived on time every day and always left everything clean and tidy before leaving – even hoovering and mopping the floors, which was really appreciated considering how messy this type of work can be!

The quality of the finished plastering is excellent and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work involved. We also had some additional work outside of the original quote and Dave was extremely accommodating in helping us keep everything within our budget. He even fitted all of our new electrical sockets for us at no additional charge, which was really appreciated.

We’re extremely pleased with the finished result and the whole experience from start to finish. Excellent workmanship, knowledgeable, reliable, tidy and genuinely helpful.

Dave was fabulous. Arrived promptly every day – worked really hard & tidied up at the end of every day. It was difficult living in a house with so much work being done but Dave did everything he could to make it so we could function. Ash his assistant came a couple of days & was lovely. It was a pleasure having such polite hard working people doing the job for me.

I recently had some work done to strip back and damp proof a wall by Dave, and I’m very pleased with the result. He was professional, reliable, and clearly knowledgeable about the work required. Finding tradespeople who are polite, courteous, professional and take the highest level of pride in their work can be frustratingly difficult. If you need a plasterer who can do all of the above, here he is ^^^. Dave did my ceilings a few years ago and they still look absolutely perfect; not a single crack, imperfection or cut-corner to speak of. You may be able to get a cheaper quote elsewhere but, to be blunt, don’t bother, you’ll get what you pay for.

We couldn’t recommend Dave (of B&D plastering) highly enough. He worked in our house for over two weeks remedying years of damp problems. We live in an old stone cottage and it was a big job. He explained the process in detail and talked us through what he was doing each day. Dave was punctual, super friendly and very tidy. He has carried out the work meticulously and on time.

We will definitely use him again and would not hesitate to recommend him for any damp proof work or plastering.

Dave replastered our baby’s nursery in December. The room had suffered from years worth of water damage and ingress. Dave is an expert at what he does and was meticulous in addressing the damp issues with the room. He stripped it completely back and went above and beyond taking on extra work to make sure it was finished properly. This included replacing the insulation in the ceiling. It was messy work but the house was always left clean and tidy and the quality of the finish is excellent. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone.

Dave did a fantastic job damp proofing and re plastering two rooms for us. He worked really hard to keep on schedule, kept the site clean and tidy (as we had to live in it at the same time!) and the standard was excellent. You get the impression he takes a lot of pride in his work. Due the size of the work it was done in two jobs and I had no hesitation in inviting him back for the second part after the first one. Highly recommended all the way.

I had a hole in my ceiling, and the ceiling was covered with artex, which I wanted to get rid of. I contacted several companies to ask for help and B&D Plastering replied immediately. A date was set for work start and Dave arrived as expected. The work that he has done is masterful! My ceiling is now complete, and smooth. Before and during the work, Dave was meticulous with keeping my home as clean as possible. Dave has done two separate jobs for us and on both occasions we can’t fault his professionalism and workmanship. Dave did a great job repairing a wall in our house that was badly damaged from wallpaper removal, that now looks as good as new. He was really helpful and easy to contact to arrange the work, gave us good advice for aftercare, very professional and friendly and left the room really clean. Definitely recommend!

Dave, did a great job replacing damaged lath and plaster ceiling in my Victorian house. despite being a big and messy job, he kept the place clean snd completed the work on time. Dave has been to us 3 times to do our plastering over the last few years, helping us with various projects. Our house isn’t the easiest to work on but Dave never fails to do what he says he’s going to do, to an exceptional standard! Ben and Dave did a great job repairing a large hole in the plasterboard. The finish was very good and they left the house tidy after they had finished. I appreciated that they managed to squeeze this small job into their busy schedule.

Dave has recently plastered most of my house. My walls were mostly blown however dave did a polished job and made the experience stress free.

Dave helped me in an emergency when I urgently needed all the plasterwork around a door corrected. Rather than do the basics for a quick fix he went out of his way to get back to the bones and ensure the entire frame was stable before re plastering. Amazing attention to detail and very thoughtful with clearing up afterwards. Highly recommend. Great job and great customer service.
